My name is Sui Qu, the founder of Anchor & Wave and the CPA you’ll work with directly.

My accounting career has spanned more than ten years, from public practice to international controllership. That experience showed me how current accounting, useful reporting, and dependable systems make a business easier to oversee.

Why I established the firm

Anchor & Wave exists to help small-business owners in Nova Scotia and Ontario create a stronger financial foundation and work directly with a CPA who stays close to the work. By remaining involved in the ongoing accounting, I can understand your business over time, connect the records to the reporting, and help you see what matters most.

Experience behind the firm

My career began in public practice, where I developed the technical accounting and professional-judgment foundation that still shapes my work today.

I later moved into operational finance and controllership roles across property management, healthcare software, and an international group of marketing agencies. My work expanded from month-end accounting and reporting into forecasting, scenario analysis, systems integration, multi-entity accounting, and leading finance teams across 5 countries.

Across those environments, my work involved improving how financial information moves from day-to-day accounting into reporting that connected the financial results with what was happening in the business. That experience now informs how I approach accounting systems, reporting, and financial oversight for Anchor & Wave clients.
